Meeting Customer SLAs
Apexion is a modular application that monitors network availability and performance of customers' SD-WAN networks, detecting conditions that impacts customers' SLAs, and responds proactively.
Apexion uses the NCAS SD-WAN Interface Layer for receiving availability and performance events and alarms. Apexion identifies events impacting SD-WAN SLAs, and raise these as Incidents with BCC.
Apexion consists of application modules Event Manager, Outage Manager, and Alarms Manager.
SLA Information Management
SLIM supports Retail Customer SLAs and Enterprise Consumer SLAs, applying these SLAs in determining SLA violations, penalties and rebates.
Extensive summary and detailed reports are provided.
SLIM interfaces with the relevant billing systems via SOAP, using the Enterprise Services Bus.
Telkom Mobile Change Request Management System
This NCAS system manages all changes on the Telkom Mobile network, from initial planning and request submission, through Change Management Board and Executive approval processes, to work done and completion of the change, including the relevant documentation.
It provides a comprehensive web application that supports every step of the Change Management Workflow, using e-mail and SMS notifications as and when needed.
Self-hosted Private NCAS DevOps Environment
The NCAS DevOps environment is a series of microservices proving git code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, image registries, issue management, a wiki, integrated custom SDLC and DevOps web reporting, operational monitoring, and AI support.
Discover and Manage Network Devices
NCAS's Device Management is used on networks such as OSNet/IPNet, TNET, CNC, Telkom Mobile, and VPN Supreme.
Every 24 hours, 10's of 1000's of network devices are polled, availability determined, configurations obtained, requested configuration updates applied, operating system upgrades performed, and so on.
The detailed and extensive device datasets are used for Router Auditing, Exception Reporting, configuration comparison and planning, and asset reporting to just mention a couple of use cases.
Managed Services Portal
MSP is customer portal for BCX managed services such as VPN Supreme, SD-WAN and Space Stream (VSAT).
It primarily provides Event Visibility (what's happening on my WAN?) and Performance Visibility (how is my WAN performing?) reporting.
Interfacing with Vendor Orchestrators
The NCAS SD-WAN Interface Layer supports REST API, REST RPC, and REST Webhooks as interfaces to SD-WAN networks.
Cisco Meraki, Cisco Viptela, HP Aruba, Fortinet, Huawei iMaster, VMware Velocloud are supported, with this list growing.
This Interface Layer obtains data of the assets on the SD-WAN, the alarms & events, and the performance. This data is used by south bound systems like Apexion and MSP.
